i have been looking for a female chihuahua for a while. almost every breeder i have talked too is very rude. they say they will e-mail me pics right away and dont. or they tell me that they dont sell on the days i'mm calling and to call back later then they hang up. i even went to see some puppies this weekend and the owners wouldnt let me see the parents. thats messed up. if any one can tell me how to deal with people like this or why they think they act this way please let me know.

It sounds to me like the breeders you have seen aren't very reputable. I would do a little more research and look for a reputable and responsible breeder...even if it's out of your area. A reputable breeder will answer your questions and ask many more in return. Many will have the parents on the premises. If the breeder is truly reputable they will talk to you...they have the well being of their puppy first and foremost and will go out of their way to make sure a puppy of theirs is going to a good home.

I know of an awesome breeeder located in Ocala, Florida. I found her on the internet around November of 2004 and got my little Chi, Buddy from her. She talked to me for over an hour about how to take care of him etc. Also she's really adamant on making sure you will be a good owner, she will not sell her dogs to just anyone. She just had new litters that were born and are up on her website. She ships the dogs as well. I can give you her website address if you're intrested. I mean her prices are high compared to those you see in the newspaper, but her dogs are all ACK certified and loved to death.
