in Atlanta. from what I 'heard' on the news, this 'man' I use the term loosely, will go before a judge, he's has got some plea deal, so if he doesn't like the judges sentencing, he can then go before a jury.
The news reported that, 'police officers on the scene actually observed him beating the puppy in the head' the puppy died.

Up here in Maine there was a case about 15 yrs ago that an owner of a cat. Kept running it over on purpose. The man went to jail (not prison) for 6 months.
Ugh. These stories just make me sick. How could anyone even THINK of doing anything like that! I feel horribly guilty even if I just tug a little too hard on Cookie's leash when she is not cooperating with me!
