Hello.I am new here and was hoping that someone could tell me a little something about what happen to my dog this past weekend.I have a 10 1/2 year old male dalmatian,I've had him since he was 6 months old.He is is excellent health, just the basic "getting old" stuff starting to happen.
Friday he was just standing there and all of a sudden brought his left arm up,almost as if the muscle was in a spasm, then his little head twisted, his ye was half closed and he was having trouble standing. We got him to his bed and layed him down.He wanted to get up after a few minutes but by this point could hardly walk.He would try to walk, take maybe 2 steps in a circle, and fall.We got him laying down again and let him rest. The next day he was showing no signs of anything happening at all.He is back to normal. That scared the !@$# out of me!!! Can anyone tell me..was this a stroke or something? Thank you so very much for your help!!!

He needs a veterinarian. Sounds like a seizure, and at his age starting to have seizures tends to have an organic cause, an illness for which he needs care. With a Dalmatian, kidneys are a strong possibility. The right diet might make a world of difference. He needs to be seen by the vet rather urgently.
