this was 1st case tried in GA. The 'man' is 47 or 57 & beat this puppy 5 yrs ago. Apparently it did not die? But the 'man' did committ various other crimes since (recall new data that links animal abusers with other violent acts).

He got 20 yrs, so will mandatory serve 5, & be on probation for 15, during which he cannot own any animals.

I hope there are lots of dog lovers in prison with him. :-P
