>>I have a friend who is looking for a protection dog. He needs a dog to watch his house and family. He needs a mature Dog that is trained already.
>>
>>He's still not sure exactly what kind of dog he is looking for but since he lives in Alaska I'm thinking a long haire dbreed would be best.
>>
>>I'm just trying to give him ideas and point him in the right direction. The final descission will be all his.
>>
>>Thanks for your time.

What he needs to be looking for is the right trainer. The trainer would be the one to match him with the dog. It's also essential that he understand he will have to become trained to be able to control the dog. A dog cannot function like the Secret Service, making and carrying out a protection plan. A dog requires a skilled handler.
