I have a 10week old chi and was wondering if there are any alternatives that are proven to work to prevent fleas.Im not to big on the idea of putting Frontline or anything toxic like that on him.Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Advantage is very safe, more so than Frontline. Don't mess around when it comes to fleas. Go to your vet and get fresh Advantage and give your dog the benefit of that. It is the best.

I've never had to use a treatment at such a young age. When I do need to treat I use Advantage. It worked well for LaVie and works just as good on my other two.

Do you have a flea comb? We rarely every have to treat for fleas, maybe 3 or 4 treatments in the last 2 years. When I treat I also use a flea comb to get the adults as I can't stand fleas crawling on me. Usually we are back to flea free in a couple days.
