Hip Dyslexia

I have a 5 year old GSD that I think might have hip dyslexia.. I've been noticing that he, my dog, has been walking a bit funny and with a slight limp in his hind legs. He's quite active outdoors and indoors, he loves to run alot and play games. Our backyard, where he spends most of his time playing, is cement and he runs alot and rarely jumps. Do you think my dog has hip dyslexia?

he actually jumps pretty often. jumping on the fence, then coming down to land on all fours.

The only way to inow for sure is for a vet to do x-rays. If you want to research the subject, be sure to spell it hip dysplasia.

it's the only way to get a correct diagnosis, provided your vet does good job taking and reading the films.

Dogs are great at masking symptoms until they no longer can. And if he does have HD, then the sooner you get him on joint supplments, the better for him in the long run.
