Yeah, I bought 7 of them and though I ended up with 7 females! but now last night another one was croaking, so thats 2 males now.

I saw this site in another persons post one time and found it informative. I think your frog needs more protein, so I would feed him more night crawlers. Mine gobble them up.

baby males call?! pacs call?! how can you tell if yours is a male or female i have no clue on mine... thx
The 2 of frogs that I now know are males had quit a bit more black on their throats than the rest, but I wasn't sure if they were males or females till now. They are about 2 and 1/2 inches long and the rest lots most the black on their throats. and to me the males look a little more "stout" and stocky. right now. p.s. They are about 3 months old now.
I have a normal brown cranwells pac about the size of a baseball that I thought was a male but ive never heard it croak so im not sure. It has black on its throat but I dont know the point at which you would call it a "beard" like some have said. I just bought another, this time an albino thats alot smaller, and he croaks whenever he gets misted so I guess hes a male.
If it is baseball size it is probably female. The black has to cover the whole throat and the frog only gets it during breeding season. Its whole throat will turn VERY dark and cover the whole throat. Males will call, however unfrequent it may be. If your frog is adult between about 2 and 4 inches, it is probably male. Anything over 4 is almost (and I say almost for those rare cases) definitely a female. Andy
