The last couple of days my puppy has been having terrible nightmares...at least I hope that's what they are. He'll be sound asleep and then he starts almost convulsing and then yelps like I've never heard before! It wakes him up, and then he acts perfectly fine...I don't think he even knows what happened. But it's very scary for his mom!! Does anyone else experience this with their chi? Is it just a puppy thing or should I be concerned? Thanks!

I'm not sure about nightmares but I had a beagle who use to run in his sleep. His little legs would be going like mad and he even let out a few whoofs. I often wondered if he ever caught anything.
