Just a quick update...

Cookie has been doing great! She hasn't barked in the morning since we got the ultrasonic thing, just about a week now and has stopped barking otherwise completely aswell even though we only have the uktrasonic unit plugged in in the morning. We had company Friday night and she hardly jumped at all! Things are going great and we start school next Tuesday night, after we get back from our trip to Buffalo.
She has figured out that she can jump over the baby gate, tricky little girl! She only has access to the living room, kitchen, computer room, and the front stairs right now, but last night I was in the bedroom folding towels and she comes strolling on in like she owns the place lol. Too funny, but I controlled my laughter and without saying a word, just put her back on the otherside. She's done it a few more times. As soon as we have the extra room clean and stuff (Still haven't done spring cleaning!) We're going to take the gate down, and if we just close all the doors she can only get in the hallway.
I think thats it for now! Thanks again to EVERYONE for all your help!

That's great news! Well done to you and Cookie! I'm sure once you start her classes next week things will just keep getting better and better and she will grow up to be a very fine, well behaved dog.

Thanks Mark! I am very excited to start school. Unfortunately she doesn't come with us the first day, but I guess thats a good thing. The first class is for owners only and I am assuming they're just going to talk to us about our individual dogs problems and the techniques they use and how they want us to respond, etc. Looking forward to it!

you have helped by sharing. I'm thrilled at the success with the bark thingy. give me (again) the actuall name & where you got it?

I predict that you & Cookie will do very well in class. Don't be a show off & make the others look too bad, smile. Have fun & let us hear all the details.

I just got the phone call 5 minutes ago confirming our first class on tuesday! Hooray!
I can't remember the exact name of the product, I'll have to check when I get home. But Sharper Image makes it. I got mine on ebay, sold directly from sharper image for $22. I think they're $40 in the catalog.
Note: It's not a collar, just a box that plugs into the wall.
So far so good...still no barking!

thanks, will check out that box, my folks sure could use it.

hope you get a good group of dogs in the classes.

am still waiting on ours to start for Quezar (the rescue we hope to place if the 'perfect' family comes along-smile)
