What a slob!

Pivo was never this bad! Bruno will get a drink of water, then drip it all over the house as he's walking away. I really thought he pee'd. The fur below his mouth gets so filthy and gross it's, well gross! Then with the start of summer and all of the trees blooming his fur picks up these brown tree thingy's that are all over the back yard. He's like velcro! He's digging to. He'll come in with a brown crust on the top of his nose. I can't correct him because I never see or catch him doing it. I think we have moles and he's going after them. Arrghghgh!

Thats why we got a short hair dog. Although she is a slob with her water too. Once we got the elevated food dishes, it stopped dripping so much, but Chows are bigger and have more 'flappy' mouths so I am sure Brunos worse than Cookie is. I am assuming you have a fensed in yard since you're not always out there? Cookie likes to dig too, but I am always out with her cause we don't have a fensed in yard so she now knows what 'no dig' means. I can't think of a solution other than going out with him and correcting him until he stops completely. And as for being like velcro, I don't think there is anything you can do about that. Do you groom him every day? a dog as fluffy as a chow should get a good brushing at least once a day. Is there a grassy area where he can play where he won't pick up all this stuff on his fur?
Good luck! It might be time to invest in some slob rags. Fabric diapers work great!
