Hello all,
Well there I was, in my kitchen when I see a cat drop something from his mouth. I chase the cat, and walk up to the mystery animal. OMG, it was a 5cm baby snapping turtle!!!!!!!!!!!
It is very cute, I'v never seen one. It practically seemed dead, but I put it on a damp late rock, and put a full spectrum light on him, and in no time he went into his water.
Sooooooo, please don't think I'm some amateur. With turtles yes, with parrots, and other herps,...no.
So, I guess the main question is can you give me some key info.
I pretty much have everything good in mind.
He's in a ten gall with water a little over the thickness of his shell. Right now I have a tiny bit of floating romaine in his tank. My moms gone to get feeder guppies(babies).
QUESTIONS;
How often to feed him? How much?
Do babies do the little wormy tongue thing(lol, ok I think its funny)?
How should I get him to eat?
Being that I own five birds I own cuttlebones? Do I just cut up the soft bits and put nit in his water?
THANKS A MILLION,
STeven
