Thought I would share a picture from last week's ASC Herding Trial in Williamsburg, IA. It followed a 2-day clinic by Roy Sage. Technically, it was the MINK ASC June Herding Trial. Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska and Kansas is where the MINK comes from. Herding was judged for sheep/goats, cattle and ducks. Roy Sage and Bob Blount were judges. Trial was held at Willowcreek Farm in Williamsburg, IA (near Amana). Really a very pretty setting for this. Nice group of dogs. It had rained the night before, but the sun came out for the trial. I had never been to a herding trial, so it was fun for me. I saw Australian Shepherds, Border Collies and Rough Collies there, also an X-pen with adorable Australian Shepherd PUPPIES!
