Hes chewing up everything!!!!!!!

I adopted a 2 year old Papillon mix and when we leave him at home he chews up thing a drags my dirty clothes out!!! I know i can crate him to prevent this but why does he do this...is he angry that we left hin alone? or bored? he has lots of toys so i don`t think its bordoem...please help

It sounds like maybe he just misses you - your dirty clothes have your scent on them. Can you find something, an old t shirt or something that you wouldn't mind getting chewed up, that you can place in his crate with him?

Even though he has plenty of toys it could still be boredom. Do you leave the same ones out all of the time or do you re-cycle them? I read that taking away some of the old favourites and then bringing them out again now and again will give the dog new excitement and help relieve boredom.
Mine is only 6 months old and although her chewing is mainly down to teething I think a part of it is still boredom even though I keep her well exercised and keep rotating her toys.
The other person who replied suggested one of your old T-shirts or something with you scent on and that's a good idea. I make alot of my dogs toys myself and use old clothing which I just knot into lengths and it keeps her amused for hours.
