finally got my boxer

dragonpuppy Jul 01, 2005 05:45 AM

i got my boxer pup. i picked him out yesterday and he'll be coming home in about a week and a half. he's the sweetest little thing. but sometimes when he stands, he stands with his back legs spread out like he's trying to do the splits or something. he doesn't walk like, he just stands like that. I was wondering if that was normal and maybe he'll grow out of it. and also, his father as amber eyes. is that common in a boxer? i'll post a pic up once i figure out how to get the pic from the scan onto the internet.

Hi, and congratulations on your new pup. I don't know much about boxers but perhaps, being a pup, he's just trying out his legs so to speak and trying to keep his balance. Posting a picture would be great. I'm sure the other boxer folks would love seeing him.

Here's the link for his picture. You can kinda see how he's standing with his legs spread apart. I did notice that his brothers and sisters were all standing normally. I don't know. I'll just have the vet check him out just to be sure. Oh, his name is Georgie.

Thanks for the picture. Georgie sure is a cutie. I can see what you mean about the legs now. The hind legs do look a little spread out. I was thinking of a little older boxer pup who is a little awkward. I think having the vet check him out is a good idea. Please let us know what the vet has to say.
