Disturbed by Breeder

Was just surfing though that website looking at the precious babies when I came across a quite a few marked "TEACUP". I emailed one of the breeders who had many "teacups" for sale and asked if she knew that responsible breeders do not advertise teacups. Her reply was HORRENDOUS! as followed:
SORRY BIUT I DON'T BREED SMALL DOGS AND HE IS A MALE CAN'T YOU READ HE CAN'T HAVE PUPPPIES DRRRRRRRRRRRR AND I DON'T SELL MY SMALL FEMALES (Which I did see she had some listed) SO MIND YOUR OWN DAMN BUSINESS.~

What kind of breeder would send an e-mail out like that?
Can't be a responsible one...she also sounded like a puppy miller Poor babies. Perhaps someone could e-mail the host of Puppyfind.com and get them to post the Teacup Myth for the convience of the people who plan on purchasing those poor over priced babies? It kills my soul to see breeders behave in this fashion!--Any ideas on how to SAVE THE CHIHUAHUAS...hey if they can save the whales why not the chihuahuas?~Marie and the furbabies

Certainly not a responsible one and with an attitude like that, one who will not be selling many pups and give up breeding.

am sorry you had to experience that & I'd be so upset too ...*but* sadly too many people do buy the teacups of various breeds.

hopefully (with the help of forums like this) we can spread the word and
educate others about this & various issues that exploit dogs

it is amazing to me that so many seem to have their heads in a hole to be so unaware of even what to me is basic simple spay/neuter. its overwhelming.

you keep your outrage but channel it to outreach in some small way that you can help even if it is only one pup at a time.

thanks for bringing up & keeping a light on this issue

It depresses me that people can be that cruel to animals.
I take in every stray I can get my hands on because the animal shelters in Kentucky just got in legal trouble over euthanization methods performed at the HUMANE SOCIETIES. They were using shot guns to shoot the animals in the head because it was CHEAPER. It's a sad world out there...Perhaps we could put together a catchy post to spread across the boards here, anyone want to join my crusade? We could form a doggy alliance--haha. SAVE THE PUPPIES CAMPAIGN...If anyone can make cute siggys and is good with graphic arts I could sure use your help! Thanks for your interest in this post! Hope to rally some support here!~Marie...To the world you may be only one person, but to one person you may be the world.

well,I hate how this whole trend has helped this,so many people are jumping on the bandwagon,on the CRT site, there's two chi's that have numbers for names(huge hint that they may have been from a mill,or someone extremely irresponsible)thier around 10-13 pounds, but most people who've never been around a purebred chi, this would be small to them,of course, there are ways to stunt pups, but I think even with people in it for the money, few would be cruel enough to do that
maybe you could see what it would take for the site to have basic screening procedures, type up short, but pointed article on teacup myths, see if vets offices and pet places will let you leave them,be candid, but don't be too shocking,if you really want to do something, see if you can foster a dog or two, many get shuffled from places like that,to unsuspecting owners(often potential buyers don't know the risks of health and mentel problems that can arise from these places)there's also mill sites that might have more info on doing something about these places, someone on this site had a site like that....
