homemade treefrog cage

I have a large enclosure that is wood on all sides except the front,I would like to make a pexiglass front/door and use it for a larger treefrog habitat.Right now it is unfinished wood and I was wondering if it is safe to use any kind of sealer on it or would I be better off building a cage totally out of pexiglass?
If anyone knows a good site with pictures of treefrog enclosers I sure would appriciate a link,thanks.
