My tiny Lulubelle

Barbiro Jul 24, 2005 04:28 PM

I'm new to this forum so I'm introducing my youngest Chi. Her name is Lulubelle, she was the runt of the litter and not expected to survive, but she is a fighter and pulled through. Aren't we glad!! She has the reign of the house and she is our queen. I'm attaching a photo

awww she's so cute!she looks so comfy...

9-10 years ago,my uncle brought home a puppy in his shirt pocket, there were two still left at the pound, and a friend of his wanted to take the dogs brother, who had a long coat and was said to be a sweetheart,a few days later,we went by,his friend said if I really wanted a dog so bad,I could take the brother if I wanted....we got there, and I met him....along with thier sister, who was only a pound and a half, but running up ready to play with anyone, dog or human, she didn't have a long coat, but she's reddish brown with bits of black hair(and now, ever growing bits of white)and white "socks"!she wasn't nervouse like some runts are,nor nippy,it was love at first site, and she's been keeping a tight ship, stuffed toys, sleeping spots, guard dog duty and all ever since...she's still very playful in short bursts, but her knees have put an end to much of her runny/skippy days, but who needs that when you have sunbeams!

funny thing about runts though, some are simply late bloomers who'll catch up within a few meals, after that and getting dewormed(the litter had one of the worst cases of intestinal parasites the vet had seen),Peanut grew to be the same size as Leo within a few months
