Jump the new guy

I have an almost 5 month old Shepherd female. She's great around the house, knows a few tricks and is fairly calm. . . but when company comes over she goes nuts! Starts jumping, barking/whimpering, Clawing, Chewing, she even pees. I've tried giving her a bone before the company arives to distract her but then she runs away in fear of loosing her treat and stays away from everyone. Did anyone else have a problem like this? How can I get her to greet without going crazy?

when you anticipate people coming over, put her on a leash and use the time to train/correct the behavior. I would also have the people coming in totally ignore her, don't look at her, don't touch her, IGNORE her, you should be the one calling the shots, not the dog.

Maybe getting into a good obedience class will help also
