one time i was introducing the lake to my red dobe and i had a long rope tied to his leash, well my girl friend was in the water splashing around and he went nuts barking at the water and stuff so i was like hmmmm? well i jumped in and i started splashing(still holding onto the rope) and he started barking the when i went under he bit the rope and literally pulled me till i was at the dock then let me use the rope to get up on the dock and he drug me out into the grass b4 letting go...i was amazed

also, the breeder of mine had a grown red Dobe named Baron....and the breeder had a young nephew with spinal sclirosous(sp?) well, anywhere the child went, the Dobe would follow and sit beside him, and he said he saw the kid about to wander out into the road and Baron literally walked in front of him and nudged him back into the yard with his side....

After tagging around with my cousins water loving dogs my Byron finally decided he loved the water and took off running through a shallow stream. He does the goofy dobe lungs through the water but he hit a deep spot nad he was just flailing around. It would have been absolutely hilarioues if I didn't think I was going to have to jump in and save him! He managed to get out on his own but he always walks through the water now before running around like that

He thinks he is a hound dog and runs through the field trying to track bunnies mic aor whatever else is around. He will do this for hours but rarely catches anyhting. He chased something right by the house one day and we were egging him on and he was just shaking he was so excited digging through a bile of brush. A mouse all but leapt on the end of his nose nad he didn't even see it and just kept digging while it ran away! He's a dofus but I loe him He has killed a mouse inside though,almost as good of a mouser as my cat!

What a cutie! I need to try to get some videos up. I know my camera takes them I've just never tried!
