She is a little quiet at the mo and is not eating a great deal but im putting that down to new surroundings! the only thing is my son wants to take her out but she hates her collar and lead!! can anyone give any advice on how to get her used to wearing them? thanks

You can find instructions for teaching this in the article "Leash Training for Puppies" at the link below my signature. It just takes a little time and patience.

Just a word of caution. Danes are in the family of long necked dogs, and even though they are huge their necks are still fragile. I would train your Dane to use a harness instead of a collar because if they pull to hard or in the wrong direction their necks can be seriously damaged.
Other than that, leash training just takes patience. It's the same as every other kind of training, a little bit at a time and she'll get it soon enough.
