Someone saw a pic of my Dobe from about 2 months ago and said the pockets(?) were too deep and they needed reposting? Should/can i do this and how would you go about it and what would YOU use?

I'd take him in to wherever I got him cropped and see what they want to do. that was what was wrong with my old trainers dobes ears and they had to surgically correct them. I'm sure if you post though it will at least look a little better.

I'd do exactly what Mary on DPDF told you to do. Post them with back wrapped tampons - use breathable sports tape. Johnson & Johnson zonas 1" tape is the best but not easy to find - I ordered it from an independent RX. If you are not comfortable doing it yourself, see if you can find a reputable Doberman or Great Dane breeder in your area that would help you with it for a small fee. You may not be able to totally correct the pockets, but you can probably make them look better to a degree. I have also heard to stuff cotton balls in the pocket area when you post to try and push it out so it will correct better. This is your first Doberman and ears are not easy. Vets are not always that great at them and a good experienced breeder would most likely be able to help fix them better than a vet. JMHO
