Pete's been on antibiotics for a week,we've also been taking turns cleaning his face up as it drains,but the swellings gone,the leg injuries were superficial,the fevers gone,except for some scarring,you wouldn't know anything ever happened! he's walking on all legs,and we've had to chase two particular ladies off who've been looking for him,though if some sort of foster place opened up around here(everywhere is full,one's a doberman,so I've looked at rescues,but she's not very sociable,and may still have to be put down,the other is a little bit of everything,and was obviously well loved,as she's friendly,but starved,people down the road have started feeding her,and I hope she stays in that direction for a while,as she may still be in heat and I don't want the fighting over here while Pete's healing)I'd turn them in,otherwise,if they keep hanging around,we'll just have to spay them and get them fattened up like we tried with Gerty's mom(she was too far gone though,I think she died of shock from suddenly eating SOO much when she'd obviously not been used to it,sounds weird,but it can happen in dogs and people)
