I don't really have an answer for you since I have 3 Shiba Inu's but with the size of Great Danes, I wonder if they ever stop growing? lol If I had to take a guess I would think they would probably reach their full size by at least a year or maybe a little after. Do you own Great Danes? It would be great to see a picture or two.

With any breed, this is somewhat dependent on the individual dog's bloodline. Generally puppies grow UP first, and then fill OUT, adding more muscle and bone and consequently getting heavier.

Growth rate is different for every dog. Most breeds (Giant especially) reach their full skelatal size by six months. Over the next year they will continue to fill out. But make sure it is muscle your puppy is putting on and not fat. By 18 months most dogs, regardless of breed, have attained their full adult size.
FYI, this information is incorrect for the Great Dane. Danes do not reach mature height until they are finished growing. *Most* danes will reach their full adult height by 2 years of age. Some will gain another inch or two between 2-3 years old but this depends on the lines. Between 2-4 years old they will finish filling out. The majority of danes will be completely grown and filled out by 3 years of age.
At 6 months old they will be close to minimum height (to be shown), which is 28" for bitches, 30" for dogs, but that would be **very** small adult height for an adult dane.
