wasp stings/hives?

Hi
My crazy puppy decided "hmmm...i think i'll go roll in a dead fish full of wasps" so anyways, he got stung a few times that we know of around his face. Spoke with the vet who reccommended benedril. Well, he took that and now a few days later, he has these bumps all around his face and neck, small little ones, but that are leaking something because the fur around them is crusty. So my question is...
Is it possible he developed an allergic reaction to the stings? Is this hives...or some other skin problem? and is he now more susceptable to a reaction if he gets stung again?
If anyone has any ideas...please write back. Thanks!

...and the moral if the story is...DONT ROLL IN DEAD FISH!
