Puppy "marking" ? House breaking question.

catkin Oct 18, 2005 08:00 AM

Hi all,

I have a GSD pup who is about 9.5 weeks old now. I got him when he was 8 weeks old and began the task of housebreaking him. All seemed to be going well and he wasn't having any accidents in the house. Over the last few days, however, he has been leaving the tiniest amounts of urine at various places in the house. These are not full pees and he does it even after being outside and doing his business. I'm wondering why he might be doing this and how I can dissuade this behaviour.

Any info would be much appreciated! Other than this problem, he's a wonderful little pup!

Sounds more like an infection than anything else. He's too young to be urine-marking from testosterone.
