New Beagle

alexandjill Nov 01, 2005 06:40 PM

I am new to the beagle breed, and I need a little help. I bought this 1 1/2 year old female beagleyesterday. She was rased to hunt rabbits but she hasn't had alot of training. But since i have gotten her she has either hidden under beds, sat on a couch, or laid on the bed. She dosen't like a lish, but when you take her outside she acts scared. She is not scoiable at all. Is this behavior common? If you can please help.

Not common behavior, no. Several of the articles at the link below my signature may be helpful to you, including "Timid Dogs."
