as long as they're warm and being fed regularly they should be fine, assuming they're already urinating and defecating on their own and otherwise healthy, try to keep em clean, if they get soiled wipe em down with a damp warm wash cloth, if they're not defecating and urinating on their own yet you can use the wash cloth to stimulate them the way their mother would.

just curious - how'd you get them?

a friend of my sons had them but no longer wanted them...as for where their mom is i have no idea...I was told they had no mom and that something happened to her.
they are going potty on their on, but on of them seems to be having a little trouble pooping. other wise they seem healthy.

What are they eating? Are you bottle feeding them or have you switched them over to kibble?

okay update, so far both are doing well the one that wouldnt poop finally did YEAH!! neither one would take a bottle so I put milk replacer in a shallow saucer and the went to town on it..I have also intro duced some kibble to them and man the look like little pigs after they are done eating LOL. I am going to make an appointment with the vet asap to see about worming them and to have a health check on both of them....one of them have has a few little scabes on them and the other as one large one on is lower back that ozzes a little leaving yellow custy stuff matted on his hair...maybe it is hot spots or worse the mange ( hopefully not mange!!!) you can kinda see it in the pic I have posted but it is'nt a very good pic. any suggestions? is over the counter worm safe for 4 week old pups? thanks for all the input

usually vets wont worm before 6 wks, some wormers aren't safe till 8 wks, you could call the vets office and see what they say, or just drop off a stool sample so the can identify the worms prior to actually worming, assuming you're not sure as to what kind of worms they have, as for the sores, i'd recomend using tiny amounts of triple antibiotic untill they get to a vet and keep em clean, also it's important the pups still get milk replacer for atleast a couple more weeks, reducing the amount slowly and obvioulsy increasing the amount of puppy chow, also you can make puppy soup with milk replacer instead of water, i wouldn't offer dry kibble till atleast 8-10 wks cause there is a risk of choking. good luck with you pups.
