New rescue

Hey everyone. I do pit bull and american bulldog rescue here in FL. Two nights ago I took in a pit bull puppy. She's adorable, but TINY! Eyes are completely open and clear, she has tiny little teeth, so I know she's atleast 3-4 weeks old. Still wobbly on her legs though. Anyway, we have a vet appt tomorrow (earliest they had!) for a well check and deworm. My question to you all is what is the best food? I am currently feeding her canned puppy food by Wellness. Is this good food, or is there something better? This baby has not had the best start in life, as last week she was found living in her own feces, dehydrated, and very lethargic. She was purchased at a young age by someone who wanted to make her like only him, and attack everyone else. She was sold at such a young age because the "breeder" wanted the mom to go into heat sooner so he could make more money (people make me sick). She was stolen by a good samaritan who contacted me. She was also in Miami-Dade county, where owning a pit bull is illegal. I want to make sure this little girl has the absolute best from here on out. She gets fed 4 times a day and lots and lots of love and attention! I am not new to raising little puppies, I raised a litter of 5 orphaned pit bull puppies when they were only 2 weeks old, their momma got ahold of an aspirin bottle and died. Anyway, thanks in advance for any info on puppy food!

Wellness is very good food. At such a tender young age she might benefit from milk replacement formula also.

As to pits being sold as such a young age I've seen it often. I used to work for Petco and people could come in all the time carrying 3-4 week old baby pits that wouldn't eat. While a few were there because the mother rejected them or died most were way too early purchases. I sold a lot of Esbilac (sigh)
