At 10 weeks your little dogs ears will probably do this from time to time. Also maybe she is expressing her displeasure at having her ears tugged. We are talking about a tiny little dog. If the nieces and nephews cannot behave themselves around the puppy maybe they need to have their ears tugged?? Serious injury can occur with a puppy this size if not treated right and should never be left unattended with small children around.

If children are around your dog make sure they are supervised!! Many Chihuahuas have developed social problems with children because of a child that inappropriately handled the dog. Prevent this from happening by controlling the situation ahead of time. I've seen many children who think these little dogs are toys that they can pull on and squish - this can hurt your dog.

As to the ear not standing up, give it time. Check with your breeder on about what age she typically sees her dogs ears stand up and what his/her thoughts are for when your girls should stand up. Be aware that in some cases a dogs ears may not stand up, the ear leather can sometimes be so large and thick that it just can't do it. Your breeder can help you figure this out for your Chi.
