"People food" should make up no more than 10% of a dog's total food. Chicken meat is okay for most dogs in that quantity, but cooked chicken bones are not safe. It's also important that the puppy eat regular dog food, so make sure you do not spoil her appetite with the people food.

hmm what i realized when i was trainer her while feeding chicken was that she was wearing this thick sweater my sister bought for her. i noticed with it on she was less energetic and more attentive. as soon as i took it off she started to get all her energy back and became wild lol
Tiny bits of chicken can work wonders with training (as can cheese), but like Kathy says, don't feed too much human food. For training, though, it can really get your dog's attention (I'm not sure I'd feed my dog fried chicken though--especially not the skin).

That is correct. Fried chicken and any chicken skin is very high in fat. Feeding food like this can lead to health issues for your Chi.
Using tiny bits of baked or grilled chicken breast is an excellent training treat. These little guys are so smart that with a wonderful treat you can really motivate them to learn quickly.
Also try and teach her to play with you. Find a toy she really likes and bring that toy out only for playing with you. Then you can use play as a reward also. They LOVE this! In time they tune in to you as soon as they see the toy.
I've found that having both food and a toy to use as a reward lets you train a little bit longer, you can mix up the reward and keep their attention longer.
