the breeder gave this food along with the do to us and said she loves it. so we continue to buy it. any reviews on this product?

Great question!

I have not fed this particular food so I can not give much of a comment. My gramma does give a tiny bit of this food (or a food very similar) to her Chis as a treat. My family has found that Avoderm (the small bites one) works very well for our Chihuahuas.

What food to feed is different from owner to owner, and breeder to breeder. What you really want to do is feed the food that works best for YOUR dog.

One big consideration with the dog food is how much tarter builds up on the teeth with it. Toy dogs are known for having dental problems and using a kibble that does not produce as much tartar can help with that. Canned food typically produces more tartar compaired to kibble.

I personally don't buy dog food you can find at grocery stores or large discount centers. I prefer to buy food from stores that specialize in pets.

With that said, if your puppy is doing great on the food you are giving it, then the choice is yours ultimately. I have not used taht brand before and tend to shy away from soft foods unless my dog needs extra water in it's diet.

I can not buy anything larger than a king sized bed. I am very sorry about this. Do not think that I will continue to sleep on the couch to ensure your comfort. Look at videos of dogs sleeping, they can actually curl up in a ball. It is not necessary to sleep perpendicular to each other stretched out to your fullest extent possible. I also know that sticking tails straigt out and having tongues hanging out the other end to maximize space used is nothing more than doggy sarcasm.

oh crap on the box it says 100% complete and blanace for adult dogs. with antioxidants. and my pup is only 11-12 weeks old! does this mean the food may be bad for her? the breeder said to use this food.

Just feed her more of it and it will be fine. I personally do not use puppy foods with my breed. Not sure about Chihuahuas though.
