Nocturnal BC pup

Hi! We have two adult siberian husky boys and just "aquired" a border collie mix. Well... the guy who gave us to her thinks she's a mix, but there's an uneutered BC who wanders and his girl is a BC... either way she's at least half border collie.

We've had her a few days and she doesnt like to cuddle, wont stay in bed with us and screams when we crate her. I dont want her running amuck because she poo's at least 3 times at night. She's 6 -8 weeks and I know she's too young to have, but the guy was going to either have them put down or take them to a kennel.

When we crated our resuce husky he screamed but quieted down after about 45 minutes of being ignored. She screams for hours on end. I have to sleep on the sofa away from my Sibe who thinks he's her Daddy because they keep each other awake and hyped up. I just want to get this little girl to settle down at night so I can sleep in my own bed with my husband. She wont lay with us, she wont lay with the sibes, she just runs around chewing things and pooping and whining at the bedroom door. I've never come across such a hard pup to deal with.

Help!

Have her medically checked, because there certainly may be a physical problem. And try to keep her AWAKE during your waking hours as much as you can. Don't try to exercise her to the point of fatigue, because you could easily cause physical harm by overexercising the puppy. But keep her awake. Dogs need quite a few more hours of sleep than we do.

I've taken her to the vet and they said everything is fine. It's usually only really bad when she and my younger husky who acts like her Dad are in the same room. They aggrivate each other and she gets all excited and bites and plays. I've tried sleeping in the living room with her and leaving my husband in the bedroom with the boys. It seems to work ok. She plays quietly when she wakes up and then after a few minutes, curls back up for sleep.

Once I'm sure she's gotten the hang of the puppy mats, I may just let her have run of the living room. It's puppy proof for the most part. She's such an independant little thing. She doesnt like cuddling up in bed or with the other dogs. The ony other thing I can think of would be to crate the younger husky and let the grouchy one sleep on the foot of our bed out of way of sharp puppy teeth.

I've tried keeping her awake during the day because thats all she does is sleep. It's really hard because you can make noise and carry her around and play with her and you might as well be playing with a corpse. She just ignores you an sleeps.
I'm just frustrated because I miss sleeping in my own bed... heck... I miss sleeping at all really. Going on Day 5.
