Chihuahua breed?

smith710 Jan 30, 2006 03:25 AM

I just got a Chihuahua from someone I met at work. They told me they had a Chihuahua for sale for only $50. Ive wanted a chihuahua for a while so i went and looked at it. It looked fairly healthy but not in such great conditions. So i took it because i didnt want it living in those conditions anymore. Im pretty sure its not a pure breed though. I was just wondering if anybody had any suggestions. Hes about 10 lbs right now. 1 of the owners said he was about 8 months and the other said he was around a year and 2 months. He looks just like a chihuahua all the features and everything but hes about 10 lbs. Isn't that real big for a chihuahua? I was thinking he was maybe a chihuahua-rat terrier mix. Any suggestions... also on maybe how old he is? I will post a picture when i get one... thanks alot

The picture would help, and yes, 10 lbs is a bit big for a chihuahua, but not impossible.

Hopefully this puppy get a better life with you as the owner. Sounds like a tough start- and one that can only get better.

Dear dog,
I can not buy anything larger than a king sized bed. I am very sorry about this. Do not think that I will continue to sleep on the couch to ensure your comfort. Look at videos of dogs sleeping, they can actually curl up in a ball. It is not necessary to sleep perpendicular to each other stretched out to your fullest extent possible. I also know that sticking tails straigt out and having tongues hanging out the other end to maximize space used is nothing more than doggy sarcasm.
