i just dug up my cage for the hiberntion time....i dig about 1 ft deep (far as i could go) and then should i pile the dirt back in there? i put grass clippings on top, and probably will put leave on top of that once they are falling. is this okay? i cant get ahold of any mulch around here...so im not sure i can do that. thanks

A foot deep may not be deep enough depending on how cold it gets in your region.
