New to Uros

asia2003 Oct 09, 2003 08:17 PM

Hi All,

I am new to Uro's, after recently losing my best buddy(a chinese water dragon) I decided to get another new baby to spoil!!! I also have an argentine black and white tegu (completely seperate enclosure!!!) so I am not new to reptiles by any means. What I really want to know is....where can I find a reputable breeder of the Uro's. I got my arg tegu from Bert Langerwerf at agama international, but his Uro's wont be ready until sept 2004.

I appreciate your help.

Hi,
Try Deerfern Farms (www.deerfernfarms.com) They are reliable breeders with many kinds of uros. Hope this helps!

Douglas Dix is a very nice guy. I got mine from him and they are just what I wanted. Have not had any problems and would/am defiantly going to buy my next Uro from him.
Here is his link:

Good Luck,

Hi,

Thanks for the advice regarding deer fern farms, I sent them a mail this morning about freckled mali's.
I have another question, as far as an enclosure goes....I have a 150 gallon aquarium, would this be suitable for a uro? I know that with most dragons, glass isnt a good idea due to snout rubbing, is this a concern with a Uro?

Thanks,

Leyla x
