Introducing myself

arycrest Feb 28, 2006 10:02 PM

Hi Everyone,

My name is Gayle and I've had GSDs since I got Tasha, a longhair WGSD, in 1973. The Hooligans and I live in Central Florida.

My furry roommates include 10-1/2 year old Ringer and his sister Honey. Ten year old Kelly, a white longhair. Five year old Mac. Three year old Slider and Slider's 10 month old son, Bruiser. I added the Hooligans pictures to the Photo Gallery if you'd like to meet them.

I'm looking forward to meeting everyone and hearing about your dogs.

I have a lot to learn about these boards so hope you'll bear with me.

Hi Gayle and welcome to the DogHobbyist! I don't have any GSD's, I mainly post on the Shiba Inu board and enjoy checking out the other breeds. You'll have to post some pictures of The Hooligans here at the GSD forum. If you have already loaded some at the photo gallery just click on the pictures you would like to post from the drop down box under the message area. If you would like to post more than one picture in a message simple hold down your CTRL key and highlite 3 pictures to post.

Thanks for the warm welcome and the tip on how to post pictures. I've selected three pictures - Bruiser (puppy), Honey (10-1/2) and Kelly (10) - hope they show up.

Hi Gayle,
Welcome to you and the Hooligans! Pull up a crate and make yourself at home. Hope you'll be telling us more about Slider and his son, Bruiser. Of course, we hope you'll be sharing pictures of them as well.

Hi PHMisty,

Thanks for the welcome. I know I'll have lots of questions to ask you while I'm trying to learn this new format and Pet Hobbyist layout. I posted three pictures of the Hooligans and will post the last three tomorrow.

What's the procedure for posting links to Picture Trail photo albums - do you have to receive permission first or how does it work?

Hi Gayle! The pictures are terrific! Your dogs are beautiful! In case you wanted to post more than three picts in a post, you can copy the url that is under each photo at the gallery and paste them in the message area. You would have to include the url tags before and after the url. Click on the Tool and Toys under the message area for some tips. If you have pictures loaded at Picture Trails you can just link back to them, again using the url tags to make them clickable. I have picts loaded at PhotoBucket that I use. If you want people to view the entire album you might have to make the album available for public viewing though I'm not familiar with that account.

Hi Bob,

I really appreciate all the tips. I'll first post the last three pictures of the Hooligans and then try the PictureTrail links tomorrow night. Mac, Ringer and Slider are the three pictured tonight. In the picture of Slider, his son, Bruiser is standing behind him, and Mac is behind Bruiser.

You're very welcome! Once again the pictures are terrific and so are the dogs!! You can certainly tell Bruiser is related to Slider...they sure do look alike. Keep those pictures coming..lol

OK Bob,

Tonight I'll attempt to link my PictureTrail album of Bruiser's first year. He'll be 11 months old Sunday and then on April 5, I'll take pictures and close out the album. I found the instructions in the TOOLS AND TOYS and hope I got it right!

If this doesn't work can you help me?

THANKS!!!
