My Husky is over a year old now i have just had her mated, and since i have taken her home after 5 days of being left with a siberian husky breeder, she has been bleeding. Its not normal blood like when they bleed in heat it was much darker and there was a lot more. the man who owned the dog who mated her said he has never seen it but he read it is normal that they bleed once the sperm reaches the egg and it shows she is pregnant. I am not so sure i have never seen a reference to this before and this is my first husky and my first time to breed her. Please help and tell me is this normal. ps. The bleeding sopped completely after around 5 days of taking her home. to answer any questions about the heat cycle my bitch "scamp" was with this other man during her second week in heat she has presently finished her third week.
