Shivering, lethargic cocker

josephpschmoe Mar 14, 2006 12:48 PM

My six-year-old cocker spaniel has been acting strangely for the past couple of days. He always, always jumps up at the door when we're getting ready to go outside, but he's stopped doing that. He won't jump up into bed at night, either. It's like he can't jump but wants to. Today he's started shivering, too. He acts normally, doesn't look sick in his eyes or anything, but his behavior isn't right.

He's eating and drinking fine as far as I can tell.

Anybody have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Hi Dan,
Sorry to hear that your cocker is acting strangely. He may have injured himself jumping or he may have another medical problem. I think a trip to the vet is in order. I know you don't want it to get any worse. Let us know how things are going.
