Rarely do any monitors get bred in captivity but that is one that gets bred even less.

i have 3 indicus 2 of which are cb and the other is reputed to be but i would think its probly captive hatched.

in eroupe the deamnd for cb indicus is very hight in the u.k they can demand £299 and up depending on age.

i have loved every second with theseguys, probly my fave monitor in many respects. they are easily one of the most beautifull of the monitors (to my eyes anyhow) and thats no mean feat as i love so many.

if u gota any questions about them just drop me an e-mail, i will send pics etc

And the demand doesnt see as if its there as it was at one time. Most new monitor owners here unfortunately go to their local pet store see a bosc or nile monitor baby have no idea what they are in for and take it home. Mangroves have been available here for $25-35 on occaision, yet the same imports at another location for over $200. It all depends on what the individual selling them charges and claims about them. I try to verify or prove/disprove claims of CB because in this industry its an abused term to charge more for an import in many cases. I guess the demand for that species isnt there because the uniqueness wore off a few years ago, now there are so many new available species, after all its obvious, so many just want something new and unique, or that few others have, which is alright if the animals interests are being put first not if the animal is considered a toy.
