Travelling with my chihuahua on plane

platinumTLC Apr 03, 2006 04:25 PM

Hello,

I will be flying from New jersey to Florida in May, and I had a question about flying with my chihuahua. THe airline (Continental) has regulations on incabin pets and the kennel dimensions, which are set at a MAXIMUM of 22"Lx14"Wx9"H. I cannot for the life of me find anything under 10" high. Can anyone who has experience with flying with their dog reccomend a soft crate 9" high or less?

Thanks

Does the airline sell one? Then you'd know it was approved. As far as brands, I'd start by looking at Sherpa.

I believe I've seen Sherpas for over $100. Good dog crates are expensive, but tend to last for the life of at least one dog.
