I'm not sure what is going on there, but it sounds serious enough to get your cham to a herp vet ASAP! Don't wait until it's too late...find a vet in your area that treats chameleons.
Hope someone else has more input, but that's what I would do.

What kind of chameleon do you have? Male or female? Do you have a pic of what you are concerned about? Could what you are worried about be the hemipenal bulge? Hope this helps!

LOL...laughing at myself here. I went back and read it again, and the way I read it the first time, I thought he said that feces was popping out up his tail...of course, that sounded bad to me...but now that you say that and I read it again, it does sound like the hemipenal bulge...LOL.
