He looks like he could have some sort of Pit Terrier in him. I like the brindle coloring.

If there are no dogs in Heaven, then when I die I want to go where they went.
Pit? that's not a good thing.. I didn't see that.. Pits have a bad reputation.. Perhaps I should pass on this one then.?
I know the whole thing is over, but I wanted to add my two cents anyway
Please don't ever pass on an adoption only because the dog is a pit or pit mix. When raised properly and socialized you will not have any more problems with a pit than with any other breed.
And for the record, my corgi/shepherd is 2 years old, 40 lbs
That pup looks like he would be similar. I'd say that pup has some corgi, but I don't see any shepherd..
Here's a great article about Pit Bull myths, if you're interested..

she almost looks dachshund to me, my other guess would be corgi/chihuahua, either way I dont see much if any shepherd in her, it would be interesting to see how she how she grows.
Interesting..do you think he'll grow into a big dog or?
whats the weight of the pup?
at 8 wks my mix breed weighed about 6-7 lbs he matured to 30lbs.
the temperment of the dog is a result of it's environment regardless of the breed, pits can mature to be very friendly happy go lucky dogs, truth be told you only hear about them because the attacks are for the most part few and far between, where as other breeds you never hear about are more common offenders.. like cocker spaniels.
"whats the weight of the pup?

The weight of the pup in the picture is in between 5-6 lbs and he's 9 weeks old.. I've found some pretty convincing pictures on the internet of corgi/shepherd mixes that look pretty darn close to that lil guy...Think he'll mature to about 30 lbs too?

With that coloring, there's something else, and I would not personally adopt that dog. If the something else is from the types of dogs I'm thinking (not necessarily pit, but maybe pit plus something else), I think this could grow into a very unstable animal. He should go to an expert dog home. He may develop back problems, too.
