Recently I have started fostering cats/dogs for the local humane society. My first foster dog is a 6 year old female Yorkie who needs fattening up for her spay (neuter?). She was badly underweight when brought into the humane society (I am assuming neglect by her previous owner, but don't know the details). Right now she's about 3 pounds.
I have tried a few different doggie treats for small breeds but so far she hasn't shown any interest in them. I have tried IAMs denta bones and Perina T-Bone treats but she doesn't like either of them. Any thoughts on what would be good treats for her? I scanned the forum here and found somebody mentioning carrots are a nice treat but I am concerned this may give her soft stools (carrots certainly can do that if fed to bearded dragons and other veggy loving reptiles in excess).
