I'm going be traveling with my husky from Taiwan to the US. A friend told me that when she flew her golden retreiver to Canada the vet gave the dog some anti anxiety pills to keep her calm. When I asked my vet he said it was risky because you never could tell what reaction the dog might have. How true is this?
I'm also a little worried about the dog being crated for so long. She's been crate trained but the flight is 12 hours and by the time we go through customs and luggage check she may have been in the crate for a good 16 hours, maybe more. Does anyone have any advice? I'm a really nervous about this.
