Training and Behavior Degrees

miragesmom May 02, 2006 08:25 PM

Does anybody know of any GOOD schools that have degree programs in behavior? I have been trying to do some online research, but have either only found online programs or schools on the west coast. Online programs are NOT a possibility and unfortunetly traveling from New England isn't either. I really liked the Assistance Dog Institute, but it's in California.

Thanks in advance!

Tiffany

Not quite sure if this answers your question in any way but Cornell School of Veterinary Medicine is in Ithaca New York and is one of the best Veterinary schools in the country. You might find something by checking out the site.

I know that in Canada, at least, you need to have your DVM to get a specialized degree in behavior. Most veterinary schools here offer that specialization (I think it's a 3 year program after getting your PhD), I think University of Guelph has the best known Canadian program.

Your best bet would probably be to check with the universities in your area that offer veterinary schooling.
