and I owe it all to TerryP! ROFL

Earlier this summer I met TerryP on the ratsnake board. I was looking for a trans-pecos and an emoryi. Well, he hooked me right up, made some recommendations and before I knew it I had the male emoryi I was looking for and FIVE new trans-pecos.

Well, I fall in love with the bullsnakes, and of course, Terry had been so helpful I asked him once again for a recommendation. Now, as of TODAY.....I have THREE NEW bullsnakes and TWO PACIFIC GOPHERS! ROFL....gotta say thanks to Del Alspaw, the breeder, these snakes are AWESOME! I am going to get some pictures as soon as they get settled in.

TerryP, you are dangerous to have as a contact when someone is feeding a MAJOR snake addiction! but THANKS!

"What's his face" is a great guy, but don't advertise that too much. His head is already the size of a large pumpkin, lol. Paybacks Terry!

it. I'll probably never live it down. LOL. Was it worth it? Heck yes!! I can't have a head that big because there's only room for one with a big head on this forum and you were on here first. Here's a pic of a Pacific I collected earlier this year in Sand Canyon where the female Del has was collected.

Good shot, lol. Are you sure you weren't here first though?

LOL Congratulations on the snakes you've acquired Nina. An albino or het emoryi from Don Soderberg, 5 trans pecos that are F1's or F2's from w/c that were collected by Aaron Mattson who bred them so you have great locality, and bulls and Pacific Gophers from Del Alspaw is a great choice for your collection Nina. Thanks for the comments, but you, Del, Aaron, and Don did all the work. Did I ever send you a copy of the snakes I work with and breed? LOL. I got to see the Pacific Gophers that Del produced this year and you are correct; they are awesome. I'm partial to Pacifics so I'm biased, but I will say they are super nice. They are all het for amel so you should hatch some amels when you breed them. The Pacifics aren't locality matched, but Del has locality on both w/c parents. Most people think of a big bullsnake, but the female Pacific that produced those ones you have is a 6 plus foot gopher snake. She's larger than any bullsnakes that we've had. She's soo long she ovualted 29 eggs for her clutch this year. Good luck Nina.

PS I've attached a pic of a lavender black rat snake in my collection. Are you sure you don't need a pair of these? LOL

TOTALLY unfair to include a picture like that.........the snake is AWESOME! Ok, ok, now I want to know more about them! You really don't play fair at ALL!

Chris Kennard and Dwight Good do this to me several times a year. Dwight puts "put on your drool bib before you open this" in the subject of the email. He was kind enough to send me a pic of his holdback female lavender black rat snake that is not for sale. He knows it eats me up. LOL It's never too early to have and make your wishlist. I waited 2 seasons for the pair I have and I have 2 more pairs coming this year from different breeders. Obsoleta is similar to sayi in that it also has one of the largest ranges of its species. The morphs in obsoleta are being produced like we are seeing in bullsnakes. There's a few locality morph bulls, like the Stillwater hypo, but for the most part the gene traits are being taken from bullsankes of other locales. That's what Del did this year on his Pacific gophers. He used pure Pacifics, but the albino gene comes from a Northern locale.

Do I play unfair? If you are interested and would like a snake I produce, all you have to do is ask. You just haven't asked for something I produce yet.

PS Here's one of my favorites.

Speaking of Dwight, is he doing better now? Has the regurging subsided? Sorry Terry, I couldn't pass that up, lol.
