(scroll down if you want to talk leos and dont want to read this horribly long story)
My dear, dear boa that I am so close to got stuck in my car. WHat happened was that me and my sister were on our way to some pet store. I felt no need to confine my wonderful pet because I am very liberal peson, and i think he needed some fresh air. Well... On the passenger's side of my '94 toyota camery my boa crawled to the bottom of the floor and up behind the glove compartnant.
So... i spent 3 hours with the help of another man to get him out.. but no avail... bammer, my boa(hence this name) now worked himself up to behind air conditioning.
Then he didnt come out..so i left water and a rat in there.. next day, still no snake. oi. bad times.
Next day my girlfriend came over and every 15-10 minutes we would turn on the air conditioning and see if he got out.. it was very hot... then we would go and call animal control, vets, and other places and see what i could do. SO, i called the fire department. They sent a truck over and 5 guys came out to help my snake out. No avail... finally.. it was decided to leave the snake alone and tomarrow take the car to a mechanic to have $500 worth of work done on the car for the snake to be out.
At 11 that night I got in a fight with my father about the plan in the morning. He said that if he could not make another appointment with the dealer ship the snake would sit in the car for another day. Ok, I had to go to school the next day. No one would be home.. the snake would die in this INTENSE heat he have been having. After a few "unmentionable words", i lost the arguement to stay home the next day. It wasnt about staying home, it was about saving my dead friend's life!
So, i grab the keys to the car... and look for bammer... and i see him! He is trapped in a heating duct. I rip the heating duct out of the car.. and get bammer to safety. Basically... sometime you need to take things into your own hands. Oh boy... well.. the snake is happy... and so i am.
bleh... OK! Leopard gecko stuff!
I just recieved a leo from a women and I was wondering what you all have in thier cages. SO far, all i have is calci sand, a small water bowl, hide boexes, and some decorations. I am decideing whether or not to turn on the heat lamp.. it gets hot im my snake room. Also, she looks like she is going to shed... does she need a humidity box?
she also needs a name.. what should I name her?
Thanks all reading...
Peace
