my dog keeps throwing up

mom0529 May 18, 2006 08:30 PM

my dog Scooter has been throwing up alot.A few months ago he hurt is back severly & was paralyzed from the waist down.We took him to the Vet & they said there wasn't anything they could do, unless we had the money for an expensive surgery.Which we didn't.They gave him some pain pills to help him. he re-gained feeling & started walking again. He almost gave up & stopped eating, but we nursed him back to health. Now for the past couple of months he started throwing up.For a long time there was dark blood in his throw up.Now he is just throwing up.Can you please help me?He is also having trouble walking. He walks very wobbly. He also has been eating dirt.We don't have the money to keep going back to the Vet.I don't want to loose him.If it helps he is a long hair chihuahua-dashund mix.
Sincerely, Barbara

You need to go back to the vet. It may be as simple as a change in his pain medication.

He really needs veterinary care. It sounds like he is suffering.
