Hi all! I just got a beagle yesterday and figured I'd join the board. Her name is Fancy, she's about 1 1/2, tricolor, less than 20 pounds and about 11". I'll post pictures as soon as I have time. She's so sweet, too. We have her right now on a trial thing from a local purebred rescue, but after having her even just a day there's no way I'm going to let her get away.

Sounds great! Can't wait to see the picts of Fancy! I had a Beagle named Skippy a long long time ago and he was a great little dog!!

Yeah, my family had a beagle when I was little, and I was just determined to get a breed that was at least somewhat uncommon. We bought a pharaoh hound who just didn't fit with us, and we looked at every breed out there and I saw this little girl on petfinder... she's so perfect! And to have been turned over to a shelter this little girl is just beautiful, and even sweeter than she is pretty. An impossible find, and yet she's here...

Hi and welcome to the board. I had a beagle named Chipper for sixteen years. He was a great dog. I wish you well with Fancy and we'll be looking forward to seeing her pictures.
